The teaching artist showcase has been rescheduled.
Save Monday, March 16, 2020 3-8 pm for the second annual Teaching Artists ROC showcase at Rochester Museum and Science Center’s Eisenhart auditorium.
Our committed team of artists and community members have been hard at work to sustain essential STEAM-driven programming in schools. One of the ways we can promise to keep teaching artists in schools is with our showcase, which will feature live demonstrations, teacher workshops, and booths for every artist in our roster.
Sign up for updates and reminders as the showcase gets closer. Get in touch with us with questions about the showcase and our roster.
Teaching Artists ROC is a group of former Young Audiences of Rochester artists who have joined forces to reach Rochester-area schools and libraries. We’re rebuilding the roster of artists that had been vetted by YAR to serve Rochester schools, this time with online links to artists’ contact information so that schools can reach artists directly. And, to help schools find out who they want to book, we’re bringing those artists together to participate in a teaching artist showcase – the first Rochester has seen in several years.
The showcase is scheduled to take place on September 27, 2018, from 5 – 8 p.m. at Rochester’s School of the Arts.
If you’re a former YAR artist, we’d love to have you join us. Please register now for the showcase.
If you’re a teacher, school administrator, librarian, PTO member, or otherwise have an interest in seeing teaching artists in schools, we’d love to add you to our contact list so we can keep in touch. Add yourself to our mailing list or simply let us know you’re interested in our offerings.
