It was at an interfaith festival at Nazareth College in 2010 where she became mesmerized by the Tibetan Buddhist Monk’s creation of a sand mandala. Her training in this art form has been through the generosity of the elders met over the past 15 years. Katie Jo has been honored to both teach and create sand mandalas at The World Parliament of Religions, The Chautauqua Institute, and the Women of the World Festival as well as area schools, libraries and events.
