Doug "Bubbleman" Rougeux

Doug Rougeux is an entertainer specializing in circus and theater performance. He is a graduate of Ringling Bros. & Barnum and Bailey’s Clown College, Venice, FL and the University of Buffalo.

Rougeux has appeared in two national tours with Ringling Bros. Circus, where he delighted audiences from Madison Square Garden to the Louisiana Superdome. He also toured with an improvisational theater troupe and Tales on Tour, a children’s storytelling group. He has performed in the United States and abroad.

Rougeaux’s performances have been featured in CBS television specials, USA Today, Life magazine and “Ringling’s The Greatest Clown Acts of All Time”, a nationally released home video. He is a consummate entertainer for children of all ages, and his interactive performances are educational and engaging.

Story, Sculpture and the Science of Soap Bubbles assembly program from 30 year Arts in Ed veteran Doug Rougeux. The story of a kid who read “How to Juggle” and grew up to be the BubbleMan.

The "Pop Art" of Sculpture made with bubbles stuck together. Basic Science of how "bubbles blow up, stick a-round and break down." Vivid demonstrations of wet, dry, shapes, counting, and gravity. The Art of Giant Bubbles choreographed to music.

*Grades K-3 the Science Assembly listed above includes lessons on shapes and the story of Bubba & Betty and their baby bubble Buffy starting out as a young bubble.
